What is an Ashram?
An ashram is a place for reflection, meditation, singing mantras, praying and meeting the spiritual teacher.
Brindavon, Kainchi und Ayodhya, are ashrams where devotees of Sri Durgamayi Ma (Mataji) either live or meet. Anyone is welcome to visit these places of peace and silence.
There are regular events during the week to which anyone can come and no prior knowledge is required.
It is this association’s wish not to underline the differences in religion but to recognize and live what they have in common. It is with this in mind that Christian, Buddhist and Hindu festivities are celebrated in the ashram.
Anyone who wants to meet Mataji may attend her darshan or may participate in one of the retreats lasting for one or several days.
It is Mataji's request, that all visitors to the ashram feel free to participate in the various options and possibilities, according to their own inner feeling. There is no obligation to become a disciple.
